Book I'm Reading: The Street Lawyer by John Grisham
Teaser: "Four dead kids and their momma, living in a car. They find them a mile from Capitol Hill, where they're in the process of reforming welfare to send more mothers into the streets." (page 125)
Comment: So far, this is another of John Grisham's impossible-to-put-down legal thrillers. I'm enjoying every moment.
I will sheepishly admit that I don't recall ever reading any of John Grisham's novels. Is there one in particular that you'd recommend for a newbie?!?
ReplyDeleteMy very favorite of his novels is A Time To Kill. That would be where I would start. If you love it as much as I do, I hope you'll let me know! If you like it, he later wrote a prequel called Sycamore Row, although they are complete stories and do NOT have to be read together. Truthfully, none of his legal thrillers will disappoint you.
DeleteHe also now and again writes books about baseball. I don't like them even half as much.
I read a lot of Grisham when I was a teenager, but haven't read this one. Thanks for stopping by Reading Lark to check out my teaser. :)
