The Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling and the movie franchise based on these young adult novels are among some of my very favorites.
I've read them all (twice!). I've watched the movies twice through and probably will again. They are magical, fun, exciting, scary and just so wonderful.
They may be considered young adult, but they are timeless and ageless. I loved them.
The "Harry Potter" books are great. Have you watched "Fantastical Beasts and Where to Find them"? The magic continues there... Happy A-to-Z-ing.
ReplyDeleteI think pretty much everyone is a fan, I know I am. I even have two sets of the books, almost as the illustrated hardcovers are still not yet fully released.
ReplyDeletemy favorite character besides Harry is Luna Lovegood. I'm still a bit annoy Harry didn't end up with Luna. do you have a favorite character?
have a lovely day.

Me too! I pull them out every year or so, and read them all in order. It's like reading them for the first time!
ReplyDeleteI love the Harry Potter books, I have read them many times and was super excited when my son finally got to the point where he was into it.

I've read the entire series ten times, and seen the movies dozens of times at least (we own them all on DVD). I even have a few HP fan fiction stories in the works (at last count, five, plus an idea for a one-shot). To say I'm a Potterhead would be an understatement (according to Pottermore, I'm a Ravenclaw and my Patronus is a husky :P )...I'm convinced my grandparents hid my Hogwarts letter from me when I was eleven, that's why I never got to go. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've actually read these myself and seen several of the movies. They're good books and are getting kids to read, and that's always a good thing.
